Canary Islands: Trip Report July 2014

Canary Islands: Trip Report July 2014 John Muddeman
05/09/2014
On many a birder's wish list, the Canary Islands are a superb destination. Its combination of endemic bird and other species, plus excellent opportunities of seeing pelagic species from onboard large and stable vessels, this logistically complex trip combining visits to four islands ran even better than hoped!

A photo-blog plus a few notes from a recent long weekend excursion to Lanzarote, where a 2-day pelagic trip was planned to take us out to the Banco de la Concepción to look for seabirds and cetaceans at possibly one of the most accessible marine hot-spots in European waters.
