Araschnia levana© Teresa FarinoOctober marked the end of my 2014 campaign to donate money to Butterfly Conservation, the details of which can be seen here.
Over the course of the year, participants on my tours saw more than 160 species of butterflies, with additional client donations bringing the total due to Butterfly Conservation to £506.
I have just sent a cheque off to BC Chief Executive Martin Warren, who writes:
“I am enormously grateful to Teresa and everyone who counted butterflies on her trips for making such a wonderful donation to Butterfly Conservation. I hope you had a thoroughly enjoyable time seeing all those beautiful species. The funds will go towards our work saving European butterflies in collaboration with BC Europe. This year we have supported work on the Scarce Large Blue in Serbia as well as helping start a new monitoring network in Romania.”
Click here for full details of what species we saw when and where during the 2014 campaign.
I will be continuing with this worthy project in 2015, so please contact me if you’d like to be a part of it.
